The Coast Guard recently conducted a Regional Examination Center (REC) Action Workout (AWO). The purpose of the AWO was to identify process improvements to the licensing program. The need for revision of all licensing related forms, as well as creation of additional forms, was highlighted during the AWO. Errors made in filling out the previous edition of the forms were noted as a factor in the delay in processing of mariner’s applications. The forms below are the product of the AWO. REC employees, industry representatives and stakeholders worked closely with license customers to make the forms easier to complete. They are currently valid forms for use in licensing transactions.
